Update: Buddy System, Paperwork, Saturday Games

As time draws near for Night Ops, we’re getting a few more details worked out. Here are the updates:

The Buddy System

TrailLife’s Buddy system requires that youth remain in groups of 3 (not 2). Therefore, during Night Ops, we are asking both TrailLife and AHG Troops to follow this buddy system. It’s very important that the buddy system be adhered to throughout the weekend.

Yes, I know that most of the youth don’t like the buddy system when playing competitive games, like Capture the Flag, but we have an idea about that.

Paperwork

Please remember that your Troop does have paperwork outside of what we are going to collect – namely, troop trip notification and the like. TrailLife and AHG are different so I won’t go into detail about what kind of paperwork you should be submitting but please make sure that you check with your organization and do so.

Also, I’ve updated the presentation of the information on the Required Information page to better highlight the information that you will be responsible for providing.

Saturday Games

On Saturday, after the De-Briefing meeting (which is after lunch), there will be some activities that you can participate in. Trailmen will have the option to participate in an Equip training. And we will be organizing a group activities / games. Chances are that it’ll be a form of Treasure/Scavenger Hunt.
